Soon after, I developed a yellowish/whitish coating on my tongue. I went to see a demonologist and was told it was oral thursh (I have not had this before). I was prescribed various mouthwashes and they did not work. I was then prescribed Nystatin oral suspension (3 bottles) and using it helped, but it did not completely clear the thrush. I went to my GP and he then prescribed Fluconazole tablets for me (50mg for 22 days). he diagnosed me with oral thrush and prescribed fluconazole 50mg for 7 days, im currently on day 4 and cannot see any improvement. im basically just wondering are these symptoms definitely not related to hiv? and also how long should the fluconazole take to work.
